Isra’s most recent role has been within Public Health as a researcher for the past 6 years. She has had a variety of experiences in tobacco control research, policy & systems change, evaluation and data analysis. Isra has been with the County of Santa Clara since 2016, serving as the lead evaluator in the Tobacco Free Communities Program. Isra is now currently the Senior Research and Evaluation Specialist with the Division of Equity & Social Justice (DESJ).
Prior to her time at Santa Clara County, Isra served as a Research Assistant at Stanford University and served on the Board of Directors of Truth Initiative, Washington, D.C. Isra earned her Associates in Arts Degree from De Anza Community College, her Bachelors in Science, Health Science from San Jose State University and her Masters in Public Health (MPH), Epidemiology and Biostatistics from UC Berkeley. In her free time, she loves baking cookies, hiking and spending time with her family and friends.
