Office of Gender-Based Violence Prevention
The Office of Gender-Based Violence Prevention is part of the County Executive Division of Equity and Social Justice. As a policy office, we address issues related to preventing Domestic Violence, Intimate Partner Violence, Sexual Violence, and Human Trafficking in Santa Clara County.

The mission of the County of Santa Clara is to plan for the needs of a dynamic community, provide quality services, and promote a healthy, safe, and prosperous community for all.

Center survivor’s voices and normalize conversations identify and address root causes of gender-based violence.
Subject Matter Expertise
Build knowledge and capacity surrounding the prevention of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking in Santa Clara County.
Transformational Change
Lead in innovation and cross-departmental best practices to remove systems barriers and expand linkage and access to services to prevent gender-based violence.
Partnerships and Community Engagement
Convene local agencies and community leaders to help strengthen and amplify survivor voices and prevent gender-based violence.
Policy Analysis
Embed a gender-based violence prevention lens to inform and guide county policies.
Data, Evaluation, and Accountability
Use data to inform policy, identify service gaps, and implement intervention and prevention programs.
